Some key features of Wild Black Cherry include:
- Deep pink to rich reddish brown tones
- A mix of arching grain designs
- Some vitamin streaking and ample burled or lacy grain.
- 98--100 percent heart confront
- Rare knots of less than 11/2"
- 950 on the Janka hardness scale; comparable to walnut
